Frequently asked questions
Short answers to what restaurant and food truck owners ask most. If your question isn't here, message me on WhatsApp.
What is a QR menu with a game?
It is your menu on the customer's phone: they scan a QR code on the table or the truck, see your dishes with photos and prices, order on WhatsApp and, while they wait, play a game to find your restaurant's mascot.
How much does it cost?
$149, paid once. There are no monthly fees and no contracts. You pay by ATH Móvil or PayPal when the menu is ready, with a full refund within 7 days if you're not happy.
Does the customer need to download an app?
No. The menu opens in the browser when they scan the QR. If they want, they can save it to their home screen with your logo, like an app.
How long does it take?
Days. You send me a photo of your menu or the list of dishes and prices, I design it in your style, you review it and I deliver the link and the QR.
Can I change prices or dishes later?
Yes. Message me on WhatsApp and I update it. You can post the special of the day yourself with your code.
Does it work for food trucks?
Yes. It is made for food trucks, roadside kiosks, pizzerias, cafés, pubs, street carts and small restaurants in Puerto Rico.
Is the menu in English too?
Yes. If the customer's phone is in English, the menu shows in English automatically. Puerto Rican dish names like mofongo or alcapurria stay the same.
Who is behind Menús con Juego?
Víctor, from Carolina, Puerto Rico. He builds each menu by hand and answers on WhatsApp at 939-739-1619.
Is a QR menu better than a paper menu?
For most small businesses the QR menu wins on upkeep: you change a price without reprinting, every dish gets a photo and customers order on WhatsApp. Paper is still useful for people who don't use a phone, so it's smart to keep both.
Should I get rid of my paper menu if I add a QR?
No need. Keep one or two printed menus for older customers or people without data, and put the QR on every table, the truck window or the counter.
Are there QR menus with no monthly fee?
Yes. Menús con Juego charges $149 once and the menu stays online for at least 2 years with no monthly fees. Dish and price changes are requested on WhatsApp.
What do I give up without a monthly plan?
With us you keep the menu and the game. What it doesn't include is in-menu payments: customers pay the way they always do, by ATH Móvil, card or cash.
How much does a QR menu cost in Puerto Rico?
It depends on the type. You can make a PDF with a QR for free. Digital menu platforms usually charge every month. A custom menu from Menús con Juego costs $149 once, with photos, WhatsApp, a game and automatic English.
Do I have to pay up front?
No. You pay when the menu is ready and you like it, by ATH Móvil or PayPal. If you're not happy, you get your money back within 7 days.
Can I make a QR menu myself?
Yes. Upload a PDF of your menu and make a QR with a free generator. It works, but it's a PDF: it reads small on a phone, has no WhatsApp button and has to be uploaded again with every change.
What do I need to get my menu made?
Just a photo of your menu or the list of dishes and prices. If you want food photos, I come to your business and take them.
How does ordering on WhatsApp from the menu work?
The customer taps the button and WhatsApp opens with your number and a ready message. You answer from your phone as usual. No commissions and no other app to learn.
What if my number doesn't have WhatsApp?
The button can call your phone instead of opening WhatsApp, or you can have both.
How do I get customers to come back to my restaurant?
Give them a reason to return: a weekly prize for the top score in the menu game, a daily special that changes, and WhatsApp deals for people who sign up. All of that comes with the menu with a game.
Who gives the weekly prize?
You decide and hand it out: a soda, a dessert or a discount. You change it from your panel whenever you want.
How do I make my menu bilingual for tourists?
With a QR menu that switches language on its own: if the tourist's phone is in English, the menu shows in English. Puerto Rican names like mofongo or alcapurria stay the same, with an English explanation.
Do I have to write the menu twice?
No. You give me the menu in Spanish and I prepare the English version.
What should a digital menu include?
Business name and logo, dishes with a photo, price and a short description, ingredients and allergens, hours, payment methods, how to order (WhatsApp or call) and where you are.
How many photos do I need?
One per dish is ideal, but photos of your best sellers already make a difference. You can add the rest later.
